Trust Me

You've been going through much for a while, yet somehow
No one would even know if they looked at you now
Because you're trying hard to hide what's really going on
For you want no one to know you really haven't been strong
Things have been happening and you feel as if your praying
Have not gotten through bcause you sense a delaying
But I've heard you and I've seen your pain
And I know you feel as if you're standing alone in this rain
You haven't even felt connected lately and you often ask Me do I see
The hurt you've been feeling and experiencing
See, you feel as if I'm not there at all
But I see you trying to fight even though your backs against the wall
I see those silent tears no one else knows about
And I even know you're fighting the spirit of doubt
You've asked many questions about certain things in your life
If you could only understand I'm doing things through My Son, Christ
Yes, you are valuable to Me and no, I haven't forsaken you
Because the things I'm doing in your life, I need you to trust Me on through
Trust Me to work out every prayer you have offered up
Knowing you were on my mind when I drank from that cup
I love you and I need to get you to see
That all your problems I'll work out if you only put your trust in Me
Give Me everything in your life that you've tried to retain
Then realize I'm your Redeemer and your heart I contain
Because I'm working things out and no, you won't fall
Remember you've already been selected, chosen, anointed, appointed and called
So Trust Me to take care of everything you have in your life
And you'll never be forsaken nor your seed begging bread in Jesus Christ

  1. Written january 2001. This poem was God's word for a church member that was going through. I hesitated about giving it to her because I didn't want to feel I was being nosey or intrude. She received it and it was a now word for her.

Thank God for obedience...it's always better than scarifice.

  2. Cantrice, I'm sure God spoke loudly to the one you wrote this for, but 8 yrs later this same poem is ministering to me by a few words spoken. God Bless you for being faithful to your calling!
